The present volume is not of great interest to neurologists. There is an interesting paper by Professor Kraepelin on "The Development of Psychiatrical Research," it being a reprint of an address delivered by him in Chicago. In another article by Professor Plaut the malarial treatment of syphilis is taken up, but the discussion is not at all adequate. There is also a report of a case of paraplegia in Hodgkin's disease with a collection of literature.
