To the Editor: Dr Halpern and colleagues1 conclude in their meta-analysis of 7 trials that there is no association between epidural analgesia and cesarean delivery. Based on an examination of the 3 largest studies,24 which comprise 80% of the subjects in their analysis and largely determine the results, we believe that their conclusion is premature.
