In Reply: As noted by Ms Weber, child passenger safety is a very complex issue and we appreciate the additional information provided in support of the recommendations noted in our article. The key message is that physicians should not advise parents regarding proper restraint usage based on anecdotal experience or direct physical examination findings but, rather, according to the guidelines offered in our article and elsewhere.1
