To the Editor: Instead of advising bullet-proof vests for abortion providers or trying to convince internists to become abortion providers, Dr Grimes1 could make much more salubrious contributions by promoting abstinence instead of free condoms for 12- and 13-year-olds. He could better use his valuable time and considerable teaching abilities by explaining natural family planning, emergency contraception, and the proper use of the 23 other methods of birth control available over the counter that would be consonant with the religious beliefs of his audience.
