To the Editor: Dr Mohr1 and Mr Gostin2 provide useful insight on medical malpractice and medical error. Other commentators also have expressed concern that malpractice litigation does not adequately reduce error in our health care delivery system.3 However, none of these authors discuss the ethics of physicians who serve as expert witnesses.
