In Reply: Dr Kaufman points out that findings obtained by PAC often leave the clinician with a powerful, albeit anecdotal, impression. I, too, have experienced surprise at the findings obtained by PAC monitoring, and the literature supports the impression that PAC yields information often not foreseen or incorrectly predicted by other data.1,2
