In Reply: The role and contribution of emotional factors to asthma is complex, underexplored, and, in many cases, poorly understood and appreciated.1 Although my discussion of emotional factors in asthma was limited, Dr Klein's additional points are very important in the differential diagnosis of shortness of breath in general and in asthma in particular.
