To the Editor: Randomized clinical trials are the gold standard for assessing new therapeutic strategies in heart failure, but little is known about the perspectives of the patients participating in these trials.13 We sought to examine patients' motivation for participating in clinical trials, their comprehension of the trial's purpose, their perceived clinical benefit, and their interest in participating in future clinical trials.
