I am e-mailing back and forth with Jordie, who is one of my all-time favorite medical students. He is telling me . . . teaching me, really . . . about a patient he has seen on the neurology consultation service, and how thyroid hormone impacts sodium-potassium exchange. He is ablaze with excitement.
