Abstract

To the Editor:  —In your article on pruritus in The Journal (April 8, 1911, p. 1034), you omitted reference to the internal use of pilocarpin in pruritus. It will be found of exceptional value in the pruritus so often accompanying influenza, the pruritus of jaundice and pruritus vulvæ. Atropin combined with pilocarpin checks the sweating and salivation, which otherwise are liable to occur.
