To the Editor: The study by Dr Kociol and colleagues,1 using data from a multinational, randomized controlled trial (RCT), found international variation in hospital readmission after STEMI. The authors found that the adjusted 30-day all-cause and nonelective readmission rates were particularly high in Denmark at 19% (Figure in article) and 14% (24 of 171 patients readmitted according to eTable 2 in article), respectively, 2- to 3-fold higher than other European countries.
