In Reply.—We agree with Dr Koff that persons with chronic liver disease are at increased risk for fulminant hepatitis should they develop hepatitis A virus infection.1 Because of this increased risk, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommends that susceptible persons with chronic liver disease receive hepatitis A vaccine.2
