To the Editor.—We appreciate Dr Jadad and Ms Gagliardi's1 presentation of the weaknesses of current quality-ranking instruments on the Internet. However, we believe that there is an urgent need to apply traditional measures of scholarship in filtering Internet-based health information. Projects to select, critique, and rate sites can provide strong support for scientific medicine in this new medium.
