My suggestion that idiopathic osteoarthropathy may be associated with an abnormality of sexual differentiation is made unlikely by the cases to which Dr. Alpert refers, and also by the fact that Camp and Scanlan's first case subsequently married and had one child. I am grateful to him for pointing out these references.
