Abstract

As the author says, "This book is an attempt on the part of the author to reproduce and preserve the teachings and findings of the 'Master' [Dr. E. I. McKesson], as well as his own impressions and experiences resulting from the use of nitrous oxide-oxygen over a period of many years." It is fortunate for those who have occasion to anesthetize with nitrous oxideoxygen to have available in book form the technics employed by Drs. McKesson and Clement.

The book is no doubt designed for those readers who have occasion from time to time to refer to it for information on the management of patients for various types of operations. No doubt this explains the work's frequent repetition of the fundamental steps employed in the administration of nitrous oxideoxygen in the many types of operations in which it can be used.
