Abstract

For the quality tests described in the International Pharmacopoeia to be of practical value, they must be carried out with reagents that are themselves of satisfactory and consistent purity. The present volume provides provisional specifications which it is hoped will shortly lead to the compilation of internationally acceptable standards for reagents.
