Abstract

A newly discovered pamphlet by the great 17th century physiologist describes the true nature of "catarrh," showing that it is not a secretion derived from the brain as had been thought. The Latin text is reproduced in facsimile, with accompanying excellent English translation. A bibliographic analysis is appended.
