In the profile of William Smellie (JAMA187:146 [Jan 11] 1964) you state: "A [female] manikin was fabricated from the bones of a human pelvis, appropriate padding was added, and the whole was covered with leather."Surely, The Journal is above this type of corny humor... or so I hoped.
