Abstract

To the Editor:—  I am most happy to see Alexander Gode's attack on "decease" and "demise" ("Just Words," JAMA187:403 [Feb 8] 1964). As a pathologist, I am frequently impelled to speculate upon the gloomy religious views of my colleagues who constantly report that their patients went gradually downhill. Do none of their patients go to Heaven?
