Abstract

To the Editor:—  In "The Wound That Killed Lincoln" (JAMA187: 480 [Feb 15] 1964) there seem to be two errors in time of day. On page 483, in the left column, 31st line from the top, appears: "About 1 p.m.,..." The only PM time concerned with the tragedy was from the time of the shooting until 12 PM the same night; death occurred at 7:22 AM the following day. In the right column, 16th line from the bottom, occurs. "... I made in your presence at 12 o'clock this morning...." Should that not have been 12 o'clock noon? The President was still living at 12:01 AM.
