Grants, Awards  Albany Medical College has been awarded a $40,000 research grant from the Institute of Arthritis and Metabolic Diseases of the US Public Health Service. The grant will enable Gerald Moss, MD, research associate in the college's biochemistry department, and a resident in surgery at Albany Medical Center Hospital, to further his studies on postoperative metabolic balance.Robert P. MacFate, MD, a scientist and author of Chicago has been named "Clinical Scientist of the Year," and will be honored at the annual meeting of the Association of Clinical Scientists to be held in Washington, DC, Nov 13-15. The award is given annually to an investigator who has demonstrated unusual enthusiasm in the pursuit of clinical science. MacFate is chief of the division of laboratories of the Chicago Board of Health and director of laboratories of the Municipal Contagious Disease Hospital of Chicago.The department of dermatology at Baylor University
