To the Editor: In a report by Dr Andersson and colleagues,1 clopidogrel treatment after MI was not associated with the same benefits for persons with diabetes as for those without diabetes. Clopidogrel was associated with a lower reduction in all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality among those with diabetes compared with those without diabetes, even after controlling for multiple important medical conditions.
