To the Editor: In the Patient Page on air travel–related deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism,1 the second recommendation for prevention stated that people at high risk could be prescribed low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) by their primary care physician. This recommendation is not consistent with the most recent guidelines for antithrombotic therapy and prevention of thrombosis from the American College of Chest Physicians.2
