To the Editor Although we commend Mr Rutten-Jacobs and colleagues1 on the effort of collecting data on mortality outcomes for 959 patients and acknowledge that only limited data exist on long-term prognosis after stroke in young adults, we cannot rule out that some other important causes of ischemic cerebrovascular events were not taken into consideration when the risk factors were analyzed.
