To the Editor: Dr Berkley and colleagues1 conducted prospective surveillance for severe pneumonia among Kenyan children and concluded that RSV was associated with clinical severity, but the disease was less likely to be attributable to 12 other respiratory viruses, including influenza A virus (FLUAV) and Human coronavirus 229E (HCoV-229E). However, it is possible that the study underestimated the true effect of these other viruses.
