To the Editor In his Viewpoint, Dr Makary1 discussed the value of video recording of medical procedures such as colonoscopy and surgical operations. Video recording of medical procedures may improve quality of patient care by incorporating the videos in the patient’s electronic health record and because physicians know that they are being recorded, contribute to transparency by giving patients a copy of the videos, and provide opportunities for education and coaching of students by physicians.
