To the Editor Dr Marcum and colleagues1 presented a comprehensive summary and novel perspectives on the topic of medication nonadherence. We agree with the authors that regarding medication nonadherence as a medical condition and paying attention to the underlying behaviors and barriers at the patient level might help to better detect and treat this common and costly problem. However, 2 important points are missing from the article.
