In Reply The prevalence of diabetes cannot be compared directly between our study and the 2002 CNNHS due to different methods of data collection, diagnostic procedures, and statistical analyses. In the 2002 CNNHS, an oral glucose tolerance test was conducted only in those with a fasting plasma glucose level of 5.5 mmol/L or higher and HbA1c levels were not measured.1
