Clinical Endocrinology, second edition, is a moderate-sized textbook that attempts to cover the major aspects of its subject without reference to diabetes mellitus. Its emphasis is on the clinical aspects of endocrinology, and it is heavily weighted toward specific clinical entities, including basic chemistry, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of the various endocrinological disease states.
The text is easy to understand and can be used by both endocrinologists and primary care physicians. Clinical emphasis is on the more common endocrine syndromes rather than the esoteric.
