Recovery Fund Grants

JAMA. 2009;301(16):1647. doi:10.1001/jama.2009.540

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking applications for $1.5 billion in grants for research, facility upgrades, and equipment purchases that will be funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. About $1 billion has been designated for construction, renovation, or repair of biomedical or behavioral research facilities.

One category will fund improvements at “core facilities,” facilities located off the NIH campus that provide NIH-funded scientists with shared access to equipment, resources, or consultation. The deadline for these applications is September 17, 2009.
