Aging and Mental Health joins 11 other currently published journals that address the psychological processes associated with aging. Five began publication in 1993 and four in 1986. Two journals predate 1970, including the definitive Journals of Gerontology: Series B: Psychological Sciences & Social Sciences, published bimonthly since 1946 by the Gerontological Society of America. All save three are published quarterly, and all are peer reviewed. Does this arena really need another journal?
