In a systematic review evaluating the effectiveness of various malaria medications, dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine (DHA-P) cured slightly more patients and prevented additional malaria infections for a longer period after treatment than other artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs) did, according to a team of researchers from South Africa, Kenya, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom (Zani B et al.
