StatsDirect is a comprehensive statistical application for use on personal computers with the Windows operating system. Its salient features include an interesting user interface, an unusually extensive help system, and implementation of many statistical tests, including some that will be of special interest to workers in medicine and the biosciences.
I evaluated a downloaded 10-day trial version on a 233 MHz PC running Windows NT in 64 MB of RAM. This version, along with a detailed description of the application's features and a discussion forum with users' questions about the software are available at the Web site http://www.statsdirect.com.
