The FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research has added two new sites on the Internet that are of interest to health care professionals. The "Drug Shortages" site lists drugs that are in limited supply, gives the reason(s) for the shortage, and advises practitioners on how to obtain such scarce products.

The "Human Drug Advisory Committees" site contains transcripts of the FDA's advisory committees' discussions of new drugs submitted for the agency's approval, briefing documents, and the addresses of committee members. The site also lists upcoming advisory committee meetings and provides information how to nominate new members for the panels.
