Operative Techniques in General Surgery is a quarterly publication dedicated to providing descriptive and instructive review articles in the craft of general surgery. Each issue includes a collection of articles relating to a single surgical topic, eg, "Surgical Management of Benign and Malignant Breast Disease." Step-by-step descriptions of procedures are provided. The journal's hallmark is its illustration, including detailed line drawings, color figures, and radiographic images, provided by an obviously skillful team of artists. The format is similar to the other nine titles in the Operative Techniques in . . . family of journals published by WB Saunders.
