Atlanta—Many patients with diabetes know about complications such as blindness and amputation while remaining unaware of the greater life-threatening risks of heart disease and stroke.
New findings presented at the American College of Cardiology's (ACC) Annual Scientific Session emphasize the risk of heart disease for these patients and offer some hope that advances in prevention and therapy will improve the health and survival of those with diabetes.
