When we know how to listen, we can
hear it. With every gesture and footstep,
every uttered sound, someone’s
grief is beating in the heart of Grace.
We know the life of Grace
began with a loss
of heart and a gift from death,
an awakening grown
out of some unseen sorrow.
And we know, too,
Grace and grief are walking together.
What we don't know is this:
Which of them walks beside us today?
