Snake Antivenom Help

JAMA. 2010;303(23):2346. doi:10.1001/jama.2010.800

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released new guidelines for the production, regulation, and control of snake antivenoms to help address a critical shortage of antivenoms. Such action is needed to reduce the estimated annual worldwide toll of 100 000 deaths and perhaps 300 000 amputations and other disabilities caused by venomous bites (http://www.who.int/bloodproducts/snake_antivenoms/snakeantivenomguideline.pdf).
