Oil Leak Health Effects

A June 16 hearing before the House Subcommittee on Health focused on efforts by federal agencies to identify and address the health effects of the British Petroleum oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.

At the hearing, officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, and National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences presented outlines of what their agencies were doing to protect the public health.
