I listen, clad in a faded blue-and-white cotton hospital gown and underpants,
waiting for Dr Lerner to enter examining room number 2. It is the day of my
semiannual checkup with the oncologist. I've been waiting at least 15 minutes
in this room that I know looks just like the one Mr Grayson is bellowing from.
