To the Editor Several randomized trials and meta-analyses have shown that the risk of bleeding is significantly higher for warfarin anticoagulation therapy than for treatment with aspirin.1,2 However, in the study by Dr Carrero and colleagues,3 the authors concluded that warfarin use was not associated with an increased risk of bleeding, compared with no warfarin, in patients with CKD.
