To the Editor A recent study by Dr Navar-Boggan and colleagues1 used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey to estimate changes in the proportion of US adults who would be recommended for hypertension treatment based on the 2014 Evidence-Based Guideline for the Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults by Panel Members Appointed to the Eighth Joint National Committee (JNC 8).
