Although this two-volume comprehensive text of psychiatry makes for easy reading, it is too all-encompassing to simply be read; it must be thoroughly studied. The tomes are more than 15% larger than the sixth edition.1 Thankfully, the use of color to highlight figures, tables, case studies, and various diagnostic criteria greatly helps to organize complex psychiatric issues.
