To the Editor In their Viewpoint, Drs Wilkinson and D’Souza1 expressed their opinion that cannabis should not be allowed for medical use. Their overarching argument was that cannabis has not been adequately studied or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is not administered like other drugs manufactured by pharmaceutical companies. We disagree with their claims about the investigations into the safety and efficacy of cannabis.
