A peek into our future is of unquestionable interest to all of us involved in health care. This is one reason why the Robert Wood Johnson foundation asked the Institute for the Future (http://www.iftf.org), an independent nonprofit research firm, to forecast our health care scenario over the next decade.
The result is a 217-page, 12-chapter book with detailed text and abundant illustrations. The panel of experts consulted provides confident projections until the year 2005. Beyond that its predictions incorporate uncertainties.
