Experts Sort Out Headache Classification, New Guidelines for Physicians to Debut

The currently accepted guidelines for classifying and diagnosing headaches are undergoing substantial changes that are expected to help physicians better treat one of the more perplexing conditions commonly seen in clinical practice.

Still, the changes are only a first step. Headache specialty societies know they need to publicize the guidelines so they are used by primary care physicians and headache specialists.
