Writing or editing a textbook on a subject as vast as neurological disorders involves formidable problems and challenges: how to organize the material, what weight (space) to allocate to each subject, how to bring out a well-produced book that is not dated before it reaches the bookstores. The fact that multiple neurology textbooks continue to be produced or reissued attests not only to the competitive energy of their editors but also to the failure of any to get it all right.
