According to the press release, Office Practice of
Medicine "fills the void of dealing with problems that are commonly
encountered by the physician in practice." Compared with other texts of medicine,
this book has two intended limitations: it avoids dealing with hospital medicine,
and it has only limited coverage of pathophysiology. Instead, the general
approach is problem-oriented and geared to diseases or symptoms, such as chest
pain, abdominal pain, hemoptysis, fatigue, dizziness, etc.
