Three-quarters of health care professionals (75.2%) were vaccinated against influenza during the 2013-2014 flu season, compared with 72% the previous year, according to an opt-in Internet panel survey of 1882 health care professionals (HCPs). Those with the highest influenza vaccination coverage were physicians (92.2%) and HCPs whose employers required flu shots (97.8%). Thirty-six percent of HCPs said their employers mandated vaccination, an increase from 13% during the 2010-2011 season.
