To the Editor: I urge Dr Merenstein1 to go on. Practice good medicine and forget about
courts and lawyers. It does no good to dwell on potential malpractice when
dealing with the patient in front of you. I urge him to follow the high path,
do the good we can do, and right will win out, maybe not in the short haul,
but most certainly in the long haul. We must cling to this belief. Otherwise,
none of us will want to practice medicine again, and that will be the saddest
day of all.
